Type of workshop: Metalsmithing

Length:  Half Day

 This is an introduction to Fold Forming Metal. This class is LOUD & FUN!  Come and make a simple cuff that you will wear out of class.  Students will learn:  Annealing, folding metal, shaping a cuff on a mandrel, texturing, laughing, and painting with fire!

Kit Contents: 1 – 2” x 9” – 24 gauge copper sheet

Instructor will supply:  All tools required for the class including torches!

If you have your own tools, bring ‘em!

 Intermediate/beginning skill level

A class using small format paint surfaces, limited brushes and palette to encourage more spontaneity and freshness to your painting practice. Painting often, small and using simple subjects takes you out of your comfort zone while improving your skills and your inspiration.


Three class sessions. Three hour classes. Three paintings.


This class is best suited for intermediate beginners who have basic knowledge of paint/color mixing and who are familiar with basic acrylic painting supplies.

Please arrive to set-up and be ready to paint by 11am.


11am-2pm(bring a lunch snack)

Students bring their own supplies, supply list provided. Call for details.

Skill Level: Beginner/Intermediate    Prerequisites: None

Type of workshop: Metalsmithing   

Length:  9:00 am to 4:30 pm (Half hour lunch)


In this class, you will learn how to choose cabochons, create a great looking castellated bezel, de-mystify silver soldering and learn the proper way to stamp metal so you get consistently great results.  This class will boost your confidence in using a torch and creating beautiful rings you can be proud of. 

Students will learn:  Silver soldering, how to make a stamped and cut bezel, (castellated) bezel setting, how to pick cabochons, proper stamping techniques, and finishing.

Project will be completed in class.

Kit Contents:  1 - 16 gauge sterling silver sheet ½” x 3”,  6” 22 gauge Fine Silver bezel wire, 22 gauge sterling silver sheet 1½” x 1½”

Instructor Will Supply: Instructor will supply all tools, however, bring any tools you have/want to use, basically everything you can carry!

Student: *Students need to furnish their own cabochon.*  Instructor will have cabochons for sale at class time for those who need them.
