Now on the Studio schedule:
Fine Art Mosaics with Kathryn Schnabel
Thursdays: October 8th, 15th, 22nd
6:00 - 7:30pm
$170 per person, includes all supplies
Artist Kathryn Schnabel is offering a three-session class in the old world art form of stained glass mosaics. Kathryn will demonstrate techniques she learned during her two-year apprenticeship with Hungarian glass artist John Boesze. This class is appropriate for all levels of interest and it is helpful (but not necessary) if students know how to cut stained glass. Emphasis is placed on learning the art form and creating a student designed project instead of creating a class artwork. If you have been intrigued with the beauty of stained glass, grout and natural light, this class will give you the skills you need to start making your own mosaic artwork.
* Class size limited to 6 students to ensure appropriate distancing. Masks are required at all times and tools/supplies are not shared. Please have something to eat before you come, as we’ll have bottled water and snack bars but no dinner food (unless you go to the Taqueria next door afterwards!).
Open Studio Stained Glass
with Summer Harrison
Tuesdays, 4 Weeks
(NON-CONSECUTIVE, we will skip election week)
October 20, 27, Nov 10, 17
An open studio class for any and every project (that you can fit on the table!) This is a great time to bring in any unfinished quarantine projects- or even start something new, and for me to finally see your lovely faces again!
This class is for students with experience only, not a beginner's class. (We do plan to try a beginner's class early next year) You may work on either copper foil or lead came projects. Have questions about what you'd like to tackle and if this class is a good fit? Give me a call!
To effectively social distance, we will have to limit this class to 7 people, and masks will be required. We promise to make it as fun and comfortable as possible.
